Seisin is proprietary software: the source code is not published, and this license is what governs your use of the application once you download it. It is licensed to you, not sold. The same text also lives in the LICENSE file of the public GitHub repository, which hosts official builds, release notes, and the issue tracker, not the source itself.

1. Grant of license

Subject to these terms, the Author grants an end user who lawfully obtains an official build of the Software a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use that build on devices they own or control, for their own personal use.

2. Restrictions

Except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by applicable law, you may not, without the Author's prior written permission:

• copy, publish, distribute, sublicense, sell, rent, lease, or otherwise make the Software available to any third party;
• modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works of the Software;
• reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software, or attempt to derive its source code, except where such activity is expressly permitted by applicable law;
• remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices;
• rebrand, rename, or pass off the Software or any part of it as your own, or use the "Seisin" name, logo, or branding except to refer to this Software.

3. Ownership

The Author retains all right, title, and interest in and to the Software, including all intellectual property rights. No rights are granted except those expressly set out in this license. The "Seisin" name and logo are trademarks of the Author.

4. Your data

The Software stores your data locally on your own device. The Author does not collect, transmit, or have access to that data. See the Privacy notice for the full detail.

5. No warranty

The Software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall the Author be liable for any claim, damages, or other liability, whether in an action of contract, tort, or otherwise, arising from, out of, or in connection with the Software or the use or other dealings in the Software.

7. Termination

This license terminates automatically if you breach any of its terms. On termination you must stop using the Software and destroy all copies in your possession.
